Dreams Dance Competition attracts Dance Schools from all over the UK & Europe. We create a fun and diverse competition for everyone wether you are a beginner or a competitive dancer or are a soloist, duo/trio or a group and are looking to compete in styles such as Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Commercial, Ballet, Tap or Musical Theatre this is the event for you.
AGE DIVISONS

Age 8 & Under - Mini

Ages 9 - 12 - Junior

Ages 13 - 15 - Teen

Ages 15 - 21 - Senior
Age is determined by your Age in competition date.
Duo/Trio & all group performances are determined by the average age of all performers within that piece.
CATEGORIES
MUSIC
Tap music must not have pre-recorded tap sounds. Musical Theatre music must not have any Lead Vocals or Backing Vocals whilst the performer is singing.
All music must be age appropriate, with no explicit words.
Please have spare music with you on a laptop/iPad or phone for any technical issues.

JUDGING SYSTEM
We have carefully handpicked Judges that we believe are some of the best at their craft, it is extremely important to us that Judges cover every genre that we offer.
Each Performance is scored out of 100 by each judge

Each performance will e given critiques after the Competition from each Judge with a breakdown of the points awarded to them.
Please note that Judges decision is final.
ENTRYS
Please note that entry's can be changed up to 3 weeks before the competition date, after that all entry's are final and no refunds will be given.
JUDGES
Each heat will have Two or Three of our industry judges, it is extremely important to us that each genre is Judged by a Judge in that field with intense knowledge within that subject. Our judges have worked with the biggest artist and brands in the world to being in the Greatest West End Shows of all time and everything in-between!

LEVELS​

Novice - This level is for Students who are newer to competing or who are not yet as advanced as the Competitive Section

Competitive - This level is for Students who are confident competing and are at a high level of training.
TIME LIMITS

We give 1st Place - 3rd Place in every section, however if a section has over 10 dancers they are awarded 1st Place - 6th Place.

Dream Award - Each judge will pick a different performance that especially wowed them throughout the day.
HOW WE WORK
BALLET
Must contain classical ballet technique, ballet shoes must be worn, pointe routines are for Teen & Senior Competitive Dancers Only.
HIP HOP/
COMMERCIAL
Routines should includer some of the below Hip Hop styles such as hip hop, whacking, breaking, popping, locking, krumping, jazz funk and gymnastics or any social dance moves.
JAZZ
The Jazz routine must consist of modern/jazz technique, acro is welcome within this category although must be majority of jazz technique.
MUSICAL THEATER
There will be a few microphones but not many.
This genre requires Dancing, Singing & Acting to any piece from a musical.
LYRICAL
A combination of Jazz and Ballet techniques to slow music, where movements flow one into the other, no acrobatics or contemporary moves in the routine.
TAP
There must not be any pre recorded tap sounds on the track and must consist of tap technique.
CONTEMPORARY
This style is a mixture of several dance genres including, jazz, lyrical, acro and ballet, whilst telling us a story.
ACRO
This routine must consist of both dance and acrobatic moves. Please do not include anything too advanced for the performer.
